I wanted to write another blog with personal reflection, as a follow up to ‘where is home’. I sat down almost every evening for the last 4 weeks to put something interesting together. Thousands, if not more, of different and intermixed emotions flashed by but the page still remained blank. I couldn’t work out why and how. Ironically enough it sums up my personal reflection more accurately than I could ever scribe in words.
So, in this blog I have just got an English translation of a beautiful Hindi song that I stumbled upon during this time.
Song | Tanha dil tanha safar (A lonley heart, a lonely journey) | YouTube
Singer | Shaan
English translation
A lonley heart, a lonely journey
With dreams in our eyes
We went away from home
We don’t know where the road will lead us
The fragrance of the moist soil
Brings tears to our eyes
In our eyes, will only remain the world of memories
The aims are new, the concerns are unknown
Here we have to walk alone
A lonely heart, a lonely journey
Then why do my eyes still search for you
A lonely heart, a lonely journey
Then why do my eyes still search for you
A lonely heart
The heart has already seen beautiful scenarios
Seen the glittering stars
But still in my eyes your face remains young
So many rain came
So many blessings it brought
But in my ears your words still resound clearly
We promised each other that the world belong to us
Who knows what will happen to those promises
A lonely heart, a lonely journey
Then why do my eyes still search for you
A lonely heart, a lonely journey
Then why do my eyes still search for you
A lonely heart
With dreams in our eyes
We went away from home
We don’t know where the road will lead us
The fragrance of the moist soil
Brings tears to our eyes
In our eyes, will only remain the world of memories
The aims are new, the concerns are unknown
Here we have to walk alone
A lonely heart, a lonely journey
Then why do my eyes still search for you
A lonely heart
A lonely heart
Family and friends (obviously only a few in these photos)!
Hoping that this song will echo in the heart of someone …
It sure does echo in my heart 🙂
