Adding a photo of my red carpet debut …
Greetings from the Franklin Institute –
As most of you know, I’m embedded with the Franklin Institute External Affairs Team for my 2017 PULSE assignment, and plan to be back in the Navy Yard mid-January 2018.
It is an energizing assignment, and I am caught up in the team spirit here!
In fact, I am so inspired by my colleagues here and the work they are doing, I felt the need to pitch in in some small way, so I am spreading the word.
Tonight we are hosting a fundraiser-sneak peek at the Terracotta Warriors exhibit. (It is set to open 30 Sept to the public.) I am surrounded by people who are working really hard to make tonight’s event a super swanky success, and people who are doing amazing work to ignite passion for STEM in our community.
The design team that worked to develop this unique exhibit is top notch. I was granted a preview this morning with the local media. It has something for everyone (history, culture, chemistry, color, weapons, early mass production manufacturing, mystery, augmented reality, interactive areas, and more.)
Whether you value science museums for the social opportunity to gather with friends and family, to be in the presence of rare objects, to learn something new, or to imagine other times or places, this is the exhibit for you.
Hope to see you tonight at the Gala! (Tickets available at the door – that’s where you’ll find me!)
