September 11, 2001 is a day many of us will never forget. I still remember where I was and what I was doing when I heard the unbelievable news of the twin towers. The feeling that came over me is also one I will never forget.
Fast forward, September 11, 2017, another day I will not soon forget.
I am honoured to have had the opportunity to participate in the 9/11 National Day of Service in New York City. Joining Save the Children, 9/11 Day, US Hunger, Outreach Program, AARP and many other prominent groups for a common cause. Thousands of people of different races, faiths, and backgrounds, all coming together to give back and help children and families in the NYC area as well as those affected by hurricane Harvey and Irma. An experience I am truly grateful for.
What happened can’t be changed but we can all help change the future.
