A financial accountant based in the UK, Alberto will be completing his assignment with Pro Mujer in Mexico City. Albert will work as a Financial and Cost Modeling Volunteer to design a financial and costing framework for Pro Mujer’s different product/service lines and entities. The products and services that will be evaluated and analysed include financial services, health, and any other new product/service lines that are added in the future.  This will allow the organisation’s need to be more efficient, agile and sustainable, and give it the opportunity to create new products, services and partnerships that are in line with the needs of their clients as they move into an ever more mobile, digital and interconnected world.

Alex works in the Regional Pharma Supply Chain of Panama and will be completing her assignment with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) in Kampala, Uganda. She will be working as an Oncology Associate working with the Ugandan government to scale up access to cancer treatment, creating a roadmap for other countries to follow.  Specifically, she will support the launch of a technology application that helps patients navigate the private chemotherapy market – expanding access and lowering prices of drugs bought in the private sector.

A GMS Supply Planner based in GSK House, Asuncion’s assignment will be with Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) in Cambodia, where she will be working as a HIV Program Volunteer in the Logistic Management Unit (LMU). Asuncion’s work will focus around creating a reporting system to monitor antiretroviral (ART) drugs and HIV testing kit usage. She will support CHAI staff in creating a system that will report consumption, expiration and other relevant data to the national program and create a monthly reporting tool that will feed into the LMU monitoring dashboard.

Audrey is a Senior Buyer for Vaccines, based in Belgium. She will be completing her assignment with CARE International, working as a Procurement Advisor in Zambia. Audrey’s role will involve: reviewing the current state of procurement processes and proposing improvements to shorten procurement lead times; improving supplier relationship management; and analysing control spend, as well as building capacity of the existing Procurement Officer. This will assist in CARE International’s new social enterprise, Live Well’s, mission to increase access to affordable healthcare at the household level.

She will be completing her assignment with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) as a Research Volunteer in Mbabane, Swaziland.  Barbara will be working to collect data and report on a PrEP Implementation Study, which will provide Swaziland Ministry of Health (MoH) with evidence to inform the decision as to the adoption of PrEP as national policy.

Caroline is a Product Launch Project Leader for GMS, France. Caroline will be completing her assignment in Nigeria with Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) as a Family Planning Volunteer. In this role, she will support the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) increase access to family planning, particularly long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARC). Specifically, she will assist in the handover of the Family Planning Dashboard – a tool to track the impact of training investments in LARC – to the FMOH.

For this, she will create an investment case financial model for the program.

A Director within R&D based at GSK House, UK, Elke will complete a home-based assignment with Muscular Dystrophy UK under the work title: MDUK & Muscle Clinics:  a Partnership model. She will be working to increase the number of individuals and families affected by muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular conditions engaging with and supported by MDUK. To do this she will be assessing and analysing how often, and why, clinicians refer patients to MDUK, and strategies to further integrate MDUK and local muscle clinics.

In this role Fiona will support Save the Children in the relocation of functions that can be moved out of London (the “Centre”) to a new location as part of the drive to locate added value work and decision taking for the global south into the global south. She will be responsible for managing all HR issues in the new location (which is to be confirmed), and to support the overall process from an HR perspective.

Juergen will be working to ensure availability and functionality of oxygen commodities at all times as part of the new initiative of CHAI, supporting the Global Action Plan for Pneumonia and Diarrhoea. Juergen will work with the Ministry of Health (MoH) to ensure continuous functionality and proper use of oxygen equipment, build training materials for biomedical engineers and technicians maintaining oxygen delivery equipment and work to identify gaps, assess needs and determine strategy for a second round of procurement of oxygen commodities.

He will be going on an international assignment to Abuja, Nigeria, with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) where he will be volunteering in Data Analytics for the Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Heath (RMNCH) programme. The aim of the RMNCH programme is to reduce the rates of maternal and neonatal mortality in Nigeria, by providing women with skilled birth attendants and by providing modern contraceptives. Manish will be developing an understanding of the RMNCH data collection system, to lead training and mentoring of field staff in the system, as well as play a key role in the roll-out of the new Data Quality Assessment across the programme.

Sheela will support LCD in their financial management capacity and capabilities of its regional employees and partners to ensure the effective implementation of LCD’s projects across 12 locations in Africa and Asia, by creating a training package in financial management. She will have to assess the needs and identify key areas for training and support, develop a training schedule and deliver this training, as well as assess the effectiveness of the training provided.
