After a full day of traveling with stops in Detroit and Tokyo I finally arrived at my home for the next six months. There has been a lot preparation to get ready for this assignment but it became very real when I walked out of the airport in Manila.
I am thankful to GSK for giving me this opportunity and to my coworkers who will cover my customers while I am away. I also appreciate the support of family and friends during this time.
I start my position at Save the Children on Monday which gives me some time to explore Manila. Hopefully my next blog will give you a better taste of the Philippines and the work I will be involved with during this assignment.
Glad you made it safely to Manila, Dean!! The sensation of stepping off the plane, where people are speaking a different language and where the air even smells and feels differently than back home is certainly a dose of reality! I’m very excited for you on the start of your adventure. Enjoy these first days! Ingat!
Good to know you arrived safely!! Best of luck, I’ll be following your post.
Welcome to Manila, Dean!! I know you will love your home for the next six months. I know you were inducted into the heat and hearing Tagalog. I’m very excited for you on the start of your adventure. Salamat Po!
Glad you made it safely. Look forward to hearing about your adventures! All the best.
Glad you are finally there Dean! Can’t wait to hear about your new home!
