Outreach in a container, under a tree in the rain or in a tent, wherever its needed!

A week spent in one of the toughest environments I have ever experienced, Turkana in NW Kenya is a true hardship area and Kakuma  is also home to a 200,000 person refugee camp(mainly from fighting in South Sudan)  .Turkana are nomadic people and therefore medical services need to go where they can  be found, and also accepted as complimentary not in competition to traditional Turkana outreach 003 Turkana outreach 035Turkana outreach 020medicine. In the refugee camp medical needs are high and working with a Psychiatrist we say many with post traumatic stress disorder….It was great to experience and support  medical outreach in a container(placed on the nomadic route),under a tree at least 20k from nearest road,in a tent and of course in a clinic and hospital  .Thanks to the UN who were great hosts
