As part of my volunteering with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, I was invited to a Research Summit. Whereby 41 recipients of ALSF grants were invited to attend a 2 day conference. One of the more innovative approaches to this conference was that each researcher/investigator had 3 minutes to present their research. The audience (other ALSF grant recipients) would listen to each presentation and choose up to 5 topics/presentations they were interested in knowing more about or have their own information to share on the topic, or interested in a collaboration.
It worked wonderfully! What an amazing way to encourage collaboration and scientific exchange! It was a super efficient way to bring scientists together and to advance the field of pediatric oncology research!
Kudos to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation!!
