Reflections in front of a grave!!!

English version:

Hundreds of miles away from my family and walking in a dirt road while the rain showers don’t stop, I questioned my decision and my objectives. What am I doing here?

All of a sudden, a small mud house appears between the bushes. It is there where we should conduct the verbal Autopsy.  The mother smiled and shakes our hands and pointed to the spot next to me and said: “here, I buried my child”

I noticed a cross made by two irregular branches on the grave of the baby. She died from HIV.

The mother did not have enough money or even health to take her baby to the hospital.

What a dramatic end, for the baby all she does is to put all her hope and trust on her mother, community, the whole world and we could not save her.

I barley, hold my tears while listening to the sorrowful story.

I know now what I am doing here, I am here to change. Only now my objectives have a meaning and leaving my family makes sense.

I am here to make a difference and save many like this little girl from the same fate.

And believe me it’s worth …
