Working with CARE

Namaste (Greetings/Good day),

Can’t believe it is nearly time for me to fly out to New Delhi, on Thursday 20th June!

I’m very excited and a bit nervous to be spending the next 6 months working with CARE India, supporting their fight against kala azar (black fever, visceral leishmaniasis). I’ll be working on a new disease area and in unfamiliar surroundings, there’ll definitely be a lot to learn and absorb. This opportunity would not be possible though without the support, encouragement and guidance from many dedicated people – my line manager, senior leaders, colleagues, my PULSE mentor, the PULSE team, other volunteers, and last but not least my family and friends. I want to thank you for all your good wishes and advice which will undoubtedly be very useful in the coming months. I am looking forward to this exciting journey.
