Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Well, I’m starting my last two weeks in Ghana today… I just got back last night from Christmas at home in NC and it was really great to see my family and some friends, even if it was really quick…. and weather in the 40s and 50s made it feel like Christmas, even though that was COLD compared to the 88 degrees that we have in Accra today!

So for the next two weeks, I’ll be working to wrap up my activity with the STAR CHPS project and transition my work over to the next GSK PULSE volunteer, Christie (who just arrived today) and it’s certainly a strange feeling… looking back now, 6 months seem to have flown by!

But this morning at the Jhpiego staff meeting, to kick off the new year, we went around the room and shared one thing we were thankful for and one wish for 2013… my favorites were a genuine thankfulness for life, and a wish that the staff continues to grow closer together as a family… I like that wish for an office staff…

Happy 2013!!
