Greetings from Skopje, Macedonia

Greetings from Skopje,
This week I will have the opportunity to see Project HOPE’s ground operations in South East Europe.
Project HOPE’s VP of Development and I will be working with the local office visiting the healthcare facilities in Macedonia and Kosovo that are receiving medicines thru Project HOPE’s Strategic Medical Resupply Program (SMRP).This is an exciting opportunity. The first few months of my PULSE assignment were focused on developing tools to attract new donors, this is my opportunity to witness the stewardship that Project HOPE takes to insure that Gift In Kind(GIK) donations are received and utilized by the targeted healthcare facilities.
Later in the week I will visit the GlaxoSmithKline office in Macedonia. The local manager has asked me to provide a presentation on my PULSE volunteer experience and how the experience has reinforced GSK’s Core Values and High Performance Behaviors.

I am grateful for my PULSE experience at Project HOPE, this will be an exciting opportunity for me to share what I have learned with the GSK Macedonian team. It will also be an occasion for me to learn about a market that is very different from the pharmaceutical market that we have experienced in the states.

Warm Regards to All,
Janet

  1. Janet – thank you so much for keeping us all posted on your journey! What an exciting and rewarding opportunity. I would love to see the presentation that you are putting together for the local manager and have you share it with the team when you return in December. Keep in touch and happy holidays to you.
