SickKids Foundation

Last week at the SickKids Hospital in Toronto, the cast, crew and yes, horses from  Montreal’s Cavalia  Odysseo show, which is like a Cirque de Soleil type troupe, donated  a 30 minute performance for the  patients  and staff of the Hospital and Foundation  The stage was set up on the front lawn so that patients in wheelchairs could have a front row view of the festivities.   It warmed my heart to see many smiling, happy faces in the crowd, and to know that at least for 30 minutes, some of the patients could enjoy the beautiful summer day, hear the African music, and see the magnificent horses  and acrobats perform.  It was emotional to see children hooked up to IV poles, with the obvious signs of enduring chemotherapy, yet able to enjoy the spectacle. I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to make a difference with the SickKids Foundation…
